Tasks
Capture what you have to do, then read it back as a list, a board, or a month.
Open /tasks. The row above the list adds a task: type a name and press Enter. Add "due Friday" for a date and "@Maths" for a subject. Press ⌘N for the full form.
Views and the toolbar
The toolbar switches views and controls what each one shows.
- List is the default. It groups, sorts, and supports selection.
- Board puts tasks in lanes taken from the current grouping. Arriving without one, it groups by due.
- Calendar lays out a month, with a section underneath for tasks that have no due date.
Search accepts operators: subject:, has:, level:, before:, during: and after:. You can group by status, subject, type or due, and sort by due date, name, type, created, finished or manual order. The filters are status, subject, type and due; status starts on Open. Your choices go into the URL and are remembered for the next visit.
Choosing Manual order is what makes the up and down arrows appear on each row. No other sort rewrites the order.
Work through the list
Arrow keys move the focus, Space selects, Shift extends a selection, Enter opens, ⌘A selects everything shown, and g cycles the grouping. With a selection, the bar at the bottom marks tasks finished, marks them open, or deletes them.
Each row has its own menu: edit, move to subject, set a date, delete.
One task
/tasks/<id> holds the details, the steps, a description, and when the task was added, last edited and finished. Ask Copilot opens a thread about that task, with its due date.
A name is the only thing a task needs. Type, subject, due date, notes and repeats are optional. A repeating task needs a due date first, then repeats daily, weekly or monthly, with an end date if you want one.
Task types, due-date alerts and due-date colours live in Settings → Task preferences.
