Getting started
Sign in, set up your workspace, and learn where to find each part of WorkRoad.
WorkRoad brings your notes, tasks, schedule, study activities, and AI work into one app. Subjects connect that work so you can keep material for each area together.
Sign in and set up
Go to /sign-in and use your email and password or sign in with Google.
On your first run, onboarding introduces subjects, your schedule, tasks, study sets, note recordings, and the command bar. It then asks you to choose a plan.
Try a first task
- Add a subject in Settings → Subjects, such as Biology.
- Create a note for that subject and write a few lines from a lesson.
- Open Tasks, add a reminder to review the note, and assign it to the same subject.
Open the subject to find the note and task together.
Find your way around
The app has six main areas:
Settings are at /user. You can manage your account and plan, API keys, subjects, task preferences, and account deletion there.
Anything you delete (a note, a folder, a flashcard set, a task, a file, a recording or a copilot chat) goes to the trash at /trash, also in your account menu. Restore it from there, or delete it for good. Items stay in the trash for 30 days. Deleting a folder takes the notes or sets in it along, and restoring the folder brings them back. Files in the trash still count toward your file storage until they are deleted for good.
Press ⌘K / Ctrl+K to open the command palette. Use it to jump to a page, run an action, search your own content with semantic and keyword search, or quickly add a task. Press ⌘J / Ctrl+J to open the copilot from anywhere. It carries the current page into the conversation as context.
Documentation results also appear in the command palette. Type a feature name, then open a matching page or section.
Organise by subject
Subjects are the main way to organise WorkRoad. You can file notes, tasks, flashcard sets, schedules, and copilot threads under a subject.
Each subject has its own page with its notes, study sets, tasks and lessons. Open it from Settings → Subjects, where you also add, edit and archive subjects.
Use the API
WorkRoad has a public REST API. Create and manage bearer API keys in Settings → AI apps & API → API keys. The OpenAPI description is available at OpenAPI.
